Rebus' programs and services equip educators with the skills and community to deepen their practice and broaden their impact at their institution and beyond. Rebus Partners
Rebus partners with two-year and four-year institutions, systems, statewide compacts, regional consortia, and education organizations. We bring together teams from a single campus, build dedicated cohorts across an entire region or cross-institutional learning communities, and connect educators who might not otherwise cross paths.
With our partners, we create and deliver certificate programs, fellowship programs, applied research, professional development, communities of practice, and steady expert guidance. Rebus Alumni
Over 600 educators have completed our Leadership Learning programs, earning a microcredential and contributing to a growing collection of more than 100 openly licensed resources. The ripples of each graduate’s work reach classrooms, institutions, and communities far beyond their own.
Open Publishing Projects Certificate Graduates
Over six years and 26 cohorts, the Open Publishing Projects Certificate (OPC) has helped educators publish more than 100 openly licensed titles: textbooks, lab manuals, and other primary course materials. OPC graduates have built cross-institutional teams, developed new skills in open publishing, and contributed resources now in use across North America and beyond.
Supplemental Materials Development Certificate Graduates
Open textbooks only go so far without the materials that make them teachable.
The Supplemental Materials Development Certificate (SMC) prepares educators to create the ancillary resources – slides, assessments, activities, and more – that help faculty confidently adopt and teach with OER. SMC graduates are helping fill a critical gap in open education, building the supporting materials that turn a good textbook into a complete course.
Luminary Fellows
The Rebus Luminary Fellowship brings together postsecondary leaders across Canada and the US for a three-month experience in collective, sustainable leadership. Through virtual Community of Practice sessions and a culminating in-person summit, Fellows slow down, connect with peers, and explore what liberatory leadership looks like in practice.
