Programs & Services
Rebus' programs and services equip educators with the skills and community to deepen their practice and broaden their impact at their institution and beyond. Through our certificate programs, workshops, webinars, communities of practice, and research, our participants join a supportive network of peers and collaborators that grows well beyond the work itself.

Openly licensed projects, created by program alumni.
The Open Publishing Projects Certificate (OPC) guides cross-institutional teams through the full open publishing process of a primary course material – from scoping and planning through writing, editing, production, and release. This extended, cohort-based program combines expert-led sessions, asynchronous project work, and ongoing 1:1 expert facilitator support across one year. The OPC guides participants through three structured phases, giving teams a clear and rigorous path to publication.

Supplemental Materials Development Certificate
The Supplemental Materials Development Certificate (SMC) is a six-week, cohort-based course for individuals or pairs looking to create ancillary materials grounded in learning science. Through self-paced modules, facilitated live sessions, and peer feedback, participants critically evaluate gaps in their current materials and build accessible, openly licensed resources.
“The facilitation was supportive and provided meaningful feedback that guided the improvement of my project at each stage.”
— Dr. Denean Robinson,
OPC Graduate June 2025
Strategic Advice & Consulting
The Rebus team facilitates a workshop at the Open Horizons Conference in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Rebus partners with institutions and organizations to advance your education goals through tailored support. We work alongside your team to design and facilitate workshops, webinars, communities of practice, research projects, and other services informed by your context, calendar, and capacity.
Community Building
Luminary fellowship participants and facilitators come together for an in-person gathering in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Rebus builds fellowships and communities of practice that provide education leaders with a space to slow down, connect with peers, and grow into more sustainable forms of leadership. These communities sometimes emerge from within our own network or in collaboration with partner organizations looking to cultivate leadership pathways in their regions or sectors.
